Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Wheels at Wanaka 2025.  Volunteers are key to making community events run smoothly and provide a warm local welcome for many people coming along from outside the region.   

You don’t need to be into cars, truck or machines to get involved in Wheels at Wanaka - we also need the assistance of awesome, helpful, energetic and friendly people over the 3 event days, as well set up and pack down. 

WHEN WE NEED YOU:

Pre-Event Set Up Days : Monday  14 - Thursday 17 April, 2025

Show Days : Easter Weekend, 2025
  • Terra Cat Earthmoving PRACTISE Day = Friday, 18 April (9.00am to 4.30pm)
  • Main Show =  Saturday, 19 & Sunday, 20 April (9.00am to 4.30pm)
  • Exhibitors Awards = Saturday, 19 April (5.00pm - 11.00pm) 

Post-Event Pack Down : Sunday 20, Monday, 21 (and possibly Tuesday, 22) April 2025 

WHAT YOU'LL GET

  • Each volunteer will receive a Wheels at Wanaka cap and a three-day pass to the show. 
  • We’ll also provide you with shelter, food and drink whilst you’re onsite. 
  • You'll get safety and how-to briefings and training where your role requires.
  • Volunteer thank you function with Pizza and Beverages at the Shed - Sunday, 20 April (5pm - 8pm) 

Once you apply as a volunteer we will review your application and suggest a role and shift that you might be best suited for.  

Please note Earthmoving Operators from previous events will be assigned first, and then on an invite basis.  We do have plenty of roles that are based in the Earthmoving zone which we need filled that may not involve driving a machine.
